Switch Charging Issues

The most common problem with the Switches is when they will not turn on. That usually means the unit is not charging and cannot turn on once your battery runs flat. Unfortunately, in some cases it can indicate a more serious problem with the motherboard, and sometimes it is not fixable.

Charging problems on the Switch can be caused by a faulty USB-C charging socket or by one of the ICs (chips) on the motherboard responsible for charging. In most cases, we can deal with these issues. If, after all attempts, we cannot repair your Switch, our “No Fix-No Fee” policy still applies. 

Switch Overheating

Like any other consoles, the Switch can overheat too, and in most cases overheating will result in the console shutting itself off to prevent any possible damage to the motherboard.

Overheating of the Switch is usually a combination of dust buildup in the console, inefficient thermal paste, and sometimes the Switch’s fan not operating. We can successfully deal with all these issues. The cost ranges between $80 and $120, depending on the issue. Please contact us to discuss your individual case. 

Game Card and Micro SD Card reader

If your Switch does not recognise Game cartridges or Micro SD Cards, than the respecive card reader needs to be changed. Contact us to discuss the issue you are experiencing.

LCD Screen and Digitizer Replacement

We can replace the LCD and/or Digitizer (touch panel) on the Switch consoles. You may need just one of them, or, in some cases, even both, replaced. Please contact us to discuss the issue you are experiencing.

For the customers who live further away from our Thomastown store, we can organise, by appointment, expedited service and have your console repaired within 1-2 hours so that you can do it all in one trip. 

Alternatively, you can mail your console out to us, and once fixed, we will mail it back. And, if the repair cost is over $150, the return postage is on us!
